Annie run down our killer!
Missouri Smith performs murder
mystery dinners regularly at the Bissell Mansion in
Saint Louis. He now has agreed to carry out another
performance at the Woodside Restaurant in Hannibal on
April 19th. Guests may participate in the
murder mystery as always with Murder Mystery Dinners
here at the Woodside Restaurant. Here are the details:
The all inclusive
Murder Mystery Dinner is an interactive stage play
which unfolds as you enjoy a four course dinner. The
audience is part of the drama and to plays amateur
detectives as they follow the clues to a murder that
occurs in front of them. The guests who figure out the
plot and reveal the killer based on the evidence wins
the prize.
The mayhem,
mystery and action takes place in and around the
audience. You will feel yourself drawn in by the
characters. Audience members are chosen to portray
additional characters in the production, given lines to
read. The dinner theater style show begins at 7 p.m.
with appetizers. Each show has a unique theme, and
shows change every two months.
Cost is $44
per person including show and dinner, plus tax and
gratuity.
Seating is limited, tables of 6 or more receive one free
ticket.
This event is participatory, if the guest so chooses. Every guest receives a character bio. About 20 have speaking parts: ten minor and ten major. Join us at the
Woodside Restaurant at Garth Mansion for a hilarious evening, and enjoy some of the best food around. Call to see when the next dinner is scheduled at 573-221-2789.
The host, Missouri Smith, explains how these mysteries work:
"As the audience arrives they are assigned new identities for the evening -- some of them becoming suspects in the crimes. The shows are very fast-paced and funny, half-scripted and half-improvised. As the mystery unfolds, a murder occurs, and the audience must figure out 'who dunnit'. People have a tremendous time hamming it up -- especially me!”
